A 200-year-old ship has been found buried beneath New York City’s World Trade Center site. Experts say the 32-foot-long ship was most likely used “as part of a land-filling process” between the 1790’s and 1830’s.
Archaeologists are carefully clearing the area around the ship. A 100-pound anchor was also found, but it’s unclear whether or not it belonged to the ancient boat.
that is so cool!!!!!!!!
Cool!
clearly a very interesting and historical find.
I wonder where that boat sailed and why it was used in a landfilling process, why not any other boat?
