An earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale shook Washington D.C. at 5:04 a.m. Eastern this morning. While a quake of this magnitude would hardly turn heads in California, it’s the strongest to strike within 30 miles of Washington D.C. since the U.S. Geological Survey began keeping records in 1974.
Rockville, Md., was the earthquake’s epicenter. People from as far away as Pennsylvania and West Virginia reported feeling shaking. Aftershocks could occur in the next few days.
well it must not have been very noticeable because we would have herd about it on the internet or an television.
No offense, but of course it’s not noticeable because it’s only a magnitude of 3.6.
I hope these after shocks don’t effect the jamboree p.s. aspl stands for assistant senior patrol leader.
=p
I live next to DC and I slept right through it.
Aftershocks were reported? Man! Hopefully while im down in D.C. for the 100th Anniversary of scouting for the greatest country in the world(THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA) I do not experience any after shocks at all.
