Organizers for the 2012 London Olympics unveiled new mascots Wednesday. One-eyed creatures Wenlock and Mandeville are based on a story by children’s author Michael Morgpurgo. In the story, Wenlock and Mandeville are “formed by a welder from the last drops of steel from the girders of the Olympic Stadium in east London.”
The Summer Olympics begin July 27, 2012, in London.
All I have to say is:!?!?!?!?!?!?! Couldn’t they have come up with an olympic mascot that’s actually cool for once?
I agree with Cheesepizza!. Couldn’t it be an animal, like previous Olympics?
Those are strange looking!
