Construction workers renovating an old movie theater in El Centro, California discovered a wallet wedged between the metal casings of a radiator.
Workers found the wallet after sawing apart the radiator to lift it out.
Epigmenio Sanchez lost his wallet while on a date in 1964. The wallet still had his old charge cards, dusty photographs and birth certificate still inside.
“I remember losing it,” said the 70 year old. “I just don’t remember where.”
The only thing not in the wallet was money — but Sanchez said he can’t remember whether he had any cash on him when the wallet went missing at the Crest Theater.
The theater has been vacant for years and is being converted into a concert venue.
