The record-breaking 756th home run ball hit by Barry Bonds was auctioned today for $752,457. Experts were surprised because they had expected it to go for only around $500,000.
Another Bonds’ home-run ball, No. 755 that tied Hank Aaron’s record, sold for $186,750 in the same auction.
Although prices were high, they don’t compare to the $3 million that was paid for St. Louis Cardinals slugger Mark McGwire’s single-season home run record ball in 1998.
WOW. That’s pretty amazing. I don’t think I’d ever pay $3,000,000 dollars for anything! 😀
That’s a lot of money for something one could get a sports store for a dollar or two.
That I couldn’t purchase! 😮 I want it 😀 but I can’t get it 🙁
whats so special about selling baseballs hit by famous baseball players? its like paying for a regular baseball for too much money!!!!!
the owner of the bal plans to send it in to space or brand it with an asterik
