Coins have been around for thousands of years, first introduced in India, China and Greece around 700 BC. And although the imagery, material and value have changed quite a bit, the flat design has remained mostly the same.
Until now. To commemorate the 75th anniversary of the National Baseball Hall of Fame, the U.S. mint has produced its first ever domed coin. And it’s spectacular.
The design has the image of a baseball on one side, and a gently curving baseball glove on the other. The convex and concave sides give the coin a sense of 3D realism, which is an unprecedented feat by the U.S. Mint.
Prices for the coins are $35 for each gold coin, $10 for each silver coin and $5 for each half-dollar.
That’s so cool! I wish they weren’t so expensive -__-
what is that
Please reply to this, but I went to buy 1 of each and they were hundreds do dollars! Could you explain why or know anywhere I could get them for the prices you listed?
Hey Ardetect,
You were most likely looking at the all-silver quarters, which are priced more. Take a look at the following list.

Thanks for the link but here was nothing there… I went looking through the shop and gold was still 474$
The gold versions are going to be very expensive. If you’re wanting a traditional quarter, I’m seeing several rolls of them for under $20.

Were you talking about normal quarters? I was talking about the domed ones if you were. I also was looking at the French coins and they had FIFA World Cup soccer coins, which was amazing! I’m so getting those. Thanks for replying all these times.
I do consider all the ideas you’ve presented on your post. They’re really convincing and can certainly work. Still, the posts are very brief for novices. May just you please extend them a little from next time? Thanks for the post. agadedafgdkf
