Live-action ‘Star War’ TV series

Filmmaker George Lucas is planning to create a live-action “Star Wars” TV series, according to an article in the Los Angeles Times.

The TV series will be in the “extended universe” of “Star Wars,” but it won’t feature any of the familiar characters like Luke Skywalker or Darth Vader.

“It’s completely different,” Lucas told the Times in an interview. “But it’s a good idea, and it’s going to be a lot of fun to do.”

Lucas is already working on an animated television series called “Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” but this  is his first announcement of a live-action series.
