In just a few months The Hobbit trilogy will come to a close with The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. The film brings to an epic conclusion the adventures of Bilbo Baggins, Thorin Oakenshield and the Company of Dwarves.
Here’s the official synopsis: Having reclaimed their homeland from the Dragon Smaug, the Company has unwittingly unleashed a deadly force into the world. Enraged, Smaug rains his fiery wrath down upon the defenseless men, women and children of Lake-town. Obsessed above all else with his reclaimed treasure, Thorin sacrifices friendship and honor to hoard it as Bilbo’s frantic attempts to make him see reason drive the Hobbit towards a desperate and dangerous choice. But there are even greater dangers ahead. Unseen by any but the Wizard Gandalf, the great enemy Sauron has sent forth legions of Orcs in a stealth attack upon the Lonely Mountain. As darkness converges on their escalating conflict, the races of Dwarves, Elves and Men must decide – unite or be destroyed. Bilbo finds himself fighting for his life and the lives of his friends in the epic Battle of the Five Armies, as the future of Middle-earth hangs in the balance.
Looks good.
SO EXCITED!
I thought this was going to be called “The Hobbit: There and Back Again”.
The studio changed the title a few months ago. Why? My guess is to make the movie sound more action-packed. Based on the trailer, I think it will be.
Looks incredible… Cant wait. Clay. what has been your favorite LOTR/Hobbit movie so far?
I’d say Return of the King.
That’s my favorite, too.
Clay, when are we going to vote for MARVEL characters?
That’s next on the list. I think we can start it next week. Stay tuned.
So excited!!!! This is gonna be awesome!
Totally cannot wait! I am really looking forward to this.
All the same, it was kinda unnecessary for this movie to be split up into three parts.
Is smaugs eye supposed to represent the eye of sauron…….theres a similarity
i think so
to make him look evil
can’t wait of it 🙂
LotR and the Hobbit are my favorite series! So awesome! I’ve already read them twice! Clay, who is your favorite Middle Earth character?
I’d say Gandalf. Although, I love them all.
Wowzz!!
Awesome!!!!!
I am very disappointed with this movie, the first one was good and all but it did not follow the book at all. When I went to see that movie in theater, I was expecting it to be at least kind of like the book but it was not and from what I’ve seen of the new trailer, it’s not going to be any different. I mean seriously, they can’t even get the title right! 🙁
