Our Cub Scout Reviewer Says Godzilla X Kong is Awesome!

Godzilla and King Kong are two of the most famous movie monsters in the world.

The only thing better than a Godzilla movie and a King Kong movie is a movie with both of them in it!

While the monsters in the movie most definitely are not real, we sent a real-life Webelos Cub Scout to an advanced screening of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, and he loved it!

Thanks to Leo H. for sending us the following review.

Fans of the King Kong and Godzilla movie series will have a blast watching Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. I give it four stars and would describe it as awesome, amazing.

The big guys are bigger than ever! It’s so funny and crazy.

He is an iconic atomic movie monster from Japan. He has appeared in 38 movies!  (What does Godzilla eat, you might be wondering? Click here to find out.)

Who is King Kong?

King Kong is another iconic movie monster. He has appeared in 14 movies!

What’s new in this Godzilla movie?

Kong’s power glove is a B.E.A.S.T. and there’s an all-new villain. Also, Godzilla is a whole new color!

Did people in the theater with you seem to enjoy the movie?

Yes! The theater was full of noisy people laughing and clapping throughout. Several people were dressed as Godzilla, and lots wore T-shirts with their favorite movie monsters on them. When Kong and Godzilla teamed up everyone cheered!

Godzilla!

Who was your favorite character?

Godzilla of course!

Did Godzilla do Godzilla things?

Yes, like eating a nuclear reactor, taking a nap in the Roman Coliseum and using atomic breath against his enemies.

What was the rarest kaiju monster sighting?

A kaiju is any giant monster featured in  fantasy and science fiction movies and TV shows. The rarest one that appeared in this movie is Doug! Doug is a giant hungry lizard who lives in a place called Hollow Earth.

King Kong!

Kaiju monster count?

How many gigantic, strange monsters were in the movie? At least 10, maybe 15!

Ranking the monster fights on a scale of 1-10?

9!

What surprised you the most without giving too much away?

The movie is about finding your (gigantic, hairy, green, scaley) friends again and helping them out. Monsters are at their best when they work together!
