There has been lots of speculation about the new Star Wars film since it was announced in late 2012. Read our story on the news here.
While details are still sketchy, we do have two pieces of news to share.
Disney has found its director for Star Wars Episode VII, and it’s none other than sci-fi supergeek J.J. Abrams. You may know the director from Star Trek, Super 8, Mission Impossible III and the upcoming Star Trek Into Darkness. His visual style and sci-fi expertise should make for an interesting take on the famous franchise. But we will have to wait a while. The next installment isn’t due in theaters until 2015.
Disney also unveiled a cool, updated logo for Star Wars. That’s it up top, and we approve.
We’ll be back with more as soon as we learn anything.
