Four years of high school can be a lonely time when you’re the only student in your class. Jeff Greenwood graduated from Montana’s Opheim High School this month. He was the only student in Opheim’s class of 2008.
Before high school, Greenwood had a handful of classmates. The last remaining one moved to Utah during freshman year, and Greenwood would be on his own the rest of the way. He occasionally took classes with those a year behind him.
This fall, Greenwood plans to attend Dickinson State University in North Dakota, where there are sure to be fellow freshmen. At his high school graduation of one, Gov. Brian Schweitzer gave the commencement address.
