Hennessey Venom GT is world’s fastest car

Earlier this year the Hennessey Venom Gt set a new world record for land speed, speeding to an incredible 270.49 miles per hour. The record run was made on February 14 on the 3.22-mile landing runway at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, narrowly beating out the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport which held the record at 267.81 mph.

The 1,244-horsepower Venom GT had about 2.6 miles to complete his run, and it took nearly a mile to slow the car back down.
