It’s a rare, almost mythical experience, but the white killer whale has been spotted in Alaska’s Aleutian Islands. The sighting sent researchers and crewmembers scrambling for cameras to record the occasion.
This whale had been seen once many years ago in the same area. The whale had some subtle yellow and brown areas on its body, but that’s a good sign. Most true albinos don’t live very long.
The whale appeared to be a healthy adult male about 25 to 30 feet long and weighing upward of 10,000 pounds.
I think that is really cool
whoa! cool! I’ve always loved animals!
That is so cool. I want to live on one of the Aleutian Islands someday!
i have an albino leapord gecko
I think that must spectular to see a Killer Whale. That must be even better to see it in as rare a forum as that. I do like nature and would love to see them.
Wow…
