The Forever Stamp

stamp4.jpgOn Monday, May 14th, the price of a standard First-Class stamp will rise from 39 cents to 41 cents.

There’s good news though. The U.S. Postal Service has already begun issuing the first ever Forever Stamp, which will always be valid as First-Class postage on standard envelopes weighing one ounce or less, regardless of any future increases in the First-Class rate.

The Forever Stamp was available for purchase on April 12th.

The stamp art depicts the Liberty Bell, which is perhaps the most prominent and recognizable symbol associated with American independence.

  1. Forever stamps are a really good idea. Everybody buy a life’s supply now and we can still be using them when we are 80 and the price of stamps has gone from 41 cents to 41 dollars.
