Road Plays Lone Ranger Theme

A quarter-mile stretch of road in California has been built with grooves that play the William Tell overture — better known as the theme from The Lone Ranger — when driven over.

The road was complete as part of an advertising campaign for Honda. Those who live near this stretch of road in Lancaster aren’t big fans of the song-playing grooves. They say the music is more like a high-pitched drone and that it keeps them up at night.

It’s been decided to pave over the grooves.
