Hearing wolves howl, tagging monarch butterflies, snapping photos of soaring eagles or just hiking in the woods are some of the things you can do during National Wildlife Refuge Week.
From October 7-13, dozens of wildlife refuges across the country are offering special programs and events to help celebrate the week.
There are over 547 national wildlife refuges in the United States protecting over 97 million acres of habitat.
