The Library of Congress has been home to a wild, airborne guest this month. A female Cooper’s hawk was spotted Jan. 19 flying around the public reading room. The bird is still there days later.
Library employees have no idea how the hawk got inside. The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service is working to capture it. So far, trying to lure the bird with food has not worked.
Bookworms beware!
Cool.
It must be looking for a book on where to find the best food.
