If you want to excel at anything in life — school, sports, video games … anything — you’ll want to stay away from cigarettes and chewing tobacco.
By pledging to say “no” for a lifetime, you can also win the high-adventure trip of a lifetime.
It’s easy. Just go to the Boy’s Life Trail of Courage website and take the pledge:
I pledge that I will not use tobacco products, illegal drugs or alcohol. I will do my best to educate my friends and my family to the dangers of using these products. I recommit to living every day by the Scout Oath and Scout Law. I will make the right decision right now and choose to refuse when offered dangerous substances.
Next month there will be a random drawing among all the eligible entries, and one lucky youth will receive an all-expense trip to a Boy Scouts High Adventure Base (Philmont Scout Ranch, Northern Tier, or Florida Sea Base). The trip includes round-trip coach-class air transportation from the major United States airport nearest to the winner’s home, ground transportation between airport and high-adventure camp and high-adventure program fees.
To learn more about the dangers of tobacco, visit the Right Decisions Right Now website.
Good trick. I fell for it. If you fell for the trick, say I. If you did not, say Aye.
