Walk around New York City and you should encounter 60 pianos randomly placed in public areas. Artist Luke Jerram and Sing for Hope, a charitable organization, refurbished the pianos and sprinkled them around New York City’s five boroughs. Letters on each piano say, “Play Me, I’m Yours.” The project is meant to connect people through the sharing of music.
The keyed instruments have been placed in post offices, zoos, churches, boardwalks and more. Click here for a detailed list of where to find one of these public pianos.
