A Florida man who found a military rocket this week has turned it over to police. This “live, highly-explosive military round” was an M427 rocket, which contained a mixture of TNT and Semtex. Both substances are highly explosive.
The police turned over the rocket to the U.S. Navy, which in turn took it to a shooting range for disposal. How the rocket ended up on the side of the road remains a mystery.
