“Record” Solar Eclipse

EclipseThe longest-lasting solar eclipse of the 21st century darkened parts of Asia and the Pacific Ocean on Tuesday. The moon fully covered the sun for as long as 6 minutes 39 seconds in some places. People in India, Japan, China and other countries gathered outside to watch this extraordinary occurrence. The next solar eclipse expected to last longer will take place in 2132.
