A father and son dueled for the International Cherry Pit Spitting Championship this weekend in Eau Claire, Mich. Brian “Young Gun” Krause bested his father by spitting 56 feet, 7.5 inches.
Brian, 30, beat his father, Rick “Pellet Gun” Krause, by 6.5 inches. The younger Krause now has seven championships at the ICPSC. Brian also holds the Guinness World Record for spitting 93 feet, 6.5 inches in 2003.

Where I live, watermelon seed spitting is very popular, but this is the first time I’ve heard of using cherry pits. I wonder which things are easier to spit: watermelon seeds or cheery pits. I’m guessing that watermelon seeds will go further!
It is really strange that there is even a record for spitting I think it’s a little strange that the record books include those crazy records like nose hair and and longest fingernails. What would make people even want to become famous by breaking those records?
