Celebrating the animal kingdom’s frequent fliers, the annual International Migratory Bird Day will be held this Saturday, May 10.
More than 700 bird species journey to different climates each summer and winter. Hundreds of national wildlife refuges have been established to safeguard habitats for these traveling birds. This Saturday, many of those same refuges will host festivals, demonstrations, watches and other events to celebrate this special occasion.
