Hamburger-Making Machine

hamburger.jpgA team from Purdue University won the annual Rube Goldberg Machine Contest with its hamburger-making machine.

The students used a 156-step recipe to win Saturday’s competition. After winning the regional competition in February, the Purdue team added 55 steps to its process.

  1. Because, the machine has to make the hamburger in 20 or more steps, and they decided to go overboard with it. Although, their team is named for the late cartoonist known for his drawings of complicated devices performing simple tasks.
