Animal control officers spent almost an hour this week trying to pull a 10-foot boa constrictor out from underneath a car’s hood in Lancaster, Calif.
The automobile’s owners had gone to a mall for groceries. While shopping, a person walking past the car noticed the giant snake slithering up into the car’s motor and called animal control.
Once extricated, the snake shocked bystanders with its size. After the incident, the car’s owners loaded their groceries, and the boa constrictor was put up for adoption. Animal control says it is most likely an escaped pet.
