Last month, Scouts from Troop 57, Neffs, Pa., participated in an Ashes to Graves ceremony, perhaps the first ever involving Boy Scouts. In Ashes to Graves, the ashes of properly retired American flags are taken to and spread over the graves of war veterans.
While many Scouts already pair up with veterans for flag retirement ceremonies, Boy Scout National Headquarters knew of no other troop participating in Ashes to Graves.
I never knew about ashes to graves
I would do it if given the chance
I never knew that.
yeah i never did ether and yeah i would do it if i had the chance too! and to all the war veterans i salute you
What a fitting tribute to our fallen hero’s!
