A rusty Plymouth Belvedere was lifted out of a concrete vault last week where it was buried 50 years ago.
The car was part of a time capsule buried in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to celebrate the state’s 50th anniversary in 1957. The capsule was built to withstand a nuclear blast, but unfortunately, it couldn’t block moisture which caused the car to rust.
The Plymouth is now on display in Tulsa, along with postcards, historical documents and aerial maps of the city.
