The U.S. just got its 61st U.S. national park! In mid-February, Indiana Dunes National Park joined Yellowstone, Yosemite, Big Bend and many more of the country’s most pristine lands.
Indiana Dunes features 15 miles of Lake Michigan shoreline and 15,000 acres of beaches, woods, prairies and marshes, and over 2,000 acres of hiking trails. Also cool, there’s plenty of wildlife — like coots, mallards, ducks, tree swallows, green herons, and more.
