You’re looking at the flattest place on Earth, the Salar de Uyuni basin, acting as the world’s biggest reflective surface.
The Salar de Uyuni forms at the endpoints of a couple of major rivers, and the rivers deposit salt into the basin, giving it a salty crust almost 10 feet thick. But the salt alone isn’t what makes the magic happen.
