NASA has pulled the plug on its Mars Spirit rover. After landing on the Red Planet in January 2004, Spirit explored Mars’ surface until getting caught in the sand two years ago. About one year ago, it stopped communicating with Earth entirely.
Scientists have regularly attempted to contact Spirit since it went silent, but today NASA is giving up on its outer space rover stuck in red sand.
