Speed Train

A new world record for “fastest unmodified passenger train speed” was set this week when a Chinese train traveling on a new high-speed line reached 302 miles per hour. From a full stop, it took the train 22 minutes to reach the record speed, which was set on a track connecting Beijing and Shanghai. The 818-mile journey between the two cities will now take only 4 hours.
