Roman Mummy

Archaeologists have discovered a Roman-era mummy almost 200 miles southwest of Cairo, Egypt. The 3-foot-tall female mummy was “decorated to resemble Roman dress and jewelry.” It could date to around 300 B.C.

The mummy was unearthed in a Bahariya Oasis cemetery. Another team of archaeologists found 254 other mummies at the same site in 1996.
