You usually find the best superhero stories in comic books. Next spring, you’ll get one epic super-tale in a new novel called The Unflushables by Ron Bates.
It’s the quirky, funny story of 13-year-old Sully Stringfellow, a longtime admirer the great plumber heroes of Nitro City: members of P.L.U.N.G.E. (The Plumber’s League of Un-Naturally Gifted Exceptionals).
These wrench-wielding warriors once guarded the world beneath Nitro City. At least until they were discredited by the powerful Ironwater Corporation, which has taken control of the sewers.
Without the plumbers around to save the day, Nitro City has been overrun by scores of mutant creatures. It’s up to Sully, his hilarious buddy Moleman and a league of long-forgotten plumber heroes to save the day.
Sound like a good read? The Unflushables hits shelves on April 10, 2018.
