Pliosaurus funkei: The Giant Sea Monster

For years they called this monster “Predator X,” because of the mystery surrounding it.

The giant marine reptile, now called Pliosaurus funkei, swam the seas about 150 million years ago, stretching about 40 feet and had a huge 7-foot-long skull. Even more amazing, its bite was four times as powerful as T-rex.

Scientists say that the reptile was among the most ferocious and vicious creatures to ever roam the seas, and based on it’s size (see below) we should be glad it’s no longer swimming around.
