On This Date

On Aug. 28, 1963, Martin Luther King Jr. led a civil rights march on Washington D.C. An estimated 250,000 people of all races showed up for the peaceful march from the Washington Monument to the Lincoln Memorial. It was on this date that King recited his “I Have a Dream” speech.
