An earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale struck at 9:06 a.m. Central today 20 miles from Oklahoma City, Okla. The quake took place 3.1 miles below the Earth’s surface, a relatively “shallow” distance. Little damage and few minor injuries were reported.
The Sooner State is not known for earthquakes, but this one was felt in 19 Oklahoma counties.
