New Pit Viper

A new species of snake called the “ruby-eyed green pit viper,” or Cryptelytrops rubeus, has been discovered in Vietnam and Cambodia. Scientists collected the specimens between 1999 and 2003. They then examined the snakes in a lab to identify the new species.
