Scientists identified 163 new plant, fish, reptile, amphibian, mammal and bird species last year in the Mekong Delta area. The discoveries, announced by the World Wildlife Fund, included a gecko with an orange and brown body and a black and white tail, a tiger-striped pit viper, a tree frog with rough skin and many more.
The Greater Mekong includes parts of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam and China.
