Check out the Capricornid meteor shower, peaking tonight under a new moon — perfect conditions for viewing. Capricornid should produce 15 to 20 meteors per hour, but this shower has a reputation for “fireball” meteors that light up the night sky. Most activity should take place after midnight in the south and southeast skies.
