Glacier Collapse

The recent New Zealand earthquake has caused an enormous iceberg to break off the country’s longest glacier. Stretching nearly 4,000 feet by 250 feet, the sheet of ice fell into Tasman Lake after a 6.3-magnitude quake hit the country Tuesday.

  1. My dad went mountain climbing on Mount Rainier and Mount Shasta and he saw, and even camped on, some glaciers. They’re pretty big.
