Adventurer Alain Robert, known as the “French Spider-Man,” climbed to the top of Paris’s GDF-Suez tower this week. He scaled the skyscraper without permission or the use of any safety equipment. He was arrested when he reached the top of the 36-story building.

Robert has climbed more than 100 buildings without using safety precautions. Don’t try this in your city, though—such behavior is not only unsafe, it’s also illegal.
