This time of year Candy Canes can be found everywhere, and chances are you have probably even crunched on a few this winter. Here are a few facts about the delicious candy:
-Originally, candy canes came only in one color. White.
-December 26th is National Candy Cane Day.
-The world’s largest candy cane was created in 2001, measuring more than 58 feet.
-Almost 2 billion candy canes are made each year.

According to the National Confectioners Association:
54 percent of kids ages 6 to 11 say they eat a candy cane by sucking on it.
24 percent bite or crunch.
19 percent lick.
2 percent don’t know how they eat candy canes.
