In celebration of the upcoming Hurricane Heroes in Texas book, Magic Tree House is launching a search for hometown heroes across the country. The heroes should be kids who are making a difference in their community.
One grand prize winner will receive a $500 Visa gift card! The winner’s hometown hero story and photo will be featured on MagicTreeHouse.com, Magic Tree House’s social media accounts, and rhcbooks.com. Plus, the winner will get a boxed set of signed Magic Tree House books and a Magic Tree House Hurricane Heroes swag basket.
How To Enter
Think you have what it takes to be a hometown hero? Work with your parents to submit your entry form here. To enter, you’ll write an essay that answers the following questions:
- What makes you a hometown hero?
- What drove you to take an active role in community service?
- How has your heroism and/or community service affected the community or organization in a positive way?
- Are you inspiring others to get involved?
Also cool: For every entry received, Penguin Random House will make a donation to All Hands and Hearts, a charitable organization that serves areas affected by natural disasters and directly engages local volunteers, partners, and communities to help with relief efforts.
