South Carolina police and animal control officers spent Tuesday chasing a runaway emu. The 6-foot tall, flightless bird ran 10 blocks through the city of Rock Hill, evading the more than 50 people who were trying to capture it.
Seventy-year-old Bobby Mangrum finally corralled the emu using a fishing net. He took the bird to his home, where Mangrum also keeps llamas and goats. Police are trying to figure out where the emu came from.
