Yes, the 2017 eclipse is over, but you don’t need to get rid of those fancy glasses just yet.
Astronomers Without Borders, and organization devoted to advancing astronomy throughout the world, wants them. They will take them off your hands so that children will be able to use them in future eclipses. Astronomers Without Borders will soon announce a program dedicated to redistributing glasses to schools in within range of future eclipses, including in South America, Asia, Indonesia, Philippines and Africa.
