OK, fair warning, I’m not if sure the following video is real. It’s supposedly the world’s largest catfish, caught last week in Italy. According to the fisherman, Dino Ferrari, the 280-pound fish took nearly an hour to reel in.
See the behemoth for yourself in the video below. In the mean time, I’ll be checking with fishing expert Tom Redington to get to the bottom of this mystery. (UPDATE: Tom Redington says: “It’s a different species of catfish than the U.S. types. Looks like it could be a genuine rod/reel World Record, potentially.”)
