One Michigan family has put up so many Christmas lights in their home that they don’t need to turn on the furnace.
The Jankowski’s of Belleville, Mich., have more than 17,000 Christmas lights on display in their home. Joe Jankowski began decorating in this fashion six years ago, mostly to please his wife Joanna. It’s evolved and grown bigger through the years.
Sixty friends and family members make it to the Jankowski’s each year to see the display. There are 30 Christmas trees, six life-size figures and it takes a month to put everything up and another month to take everything down.
