The American Humane Association wants your artwork. Submit a hand-drawn illustration showcasing the theme “adopt a shelter dog” to the Smitty’s Shelter Dog Art Contest. The winner’s drawing will appear as the final full-screen frame of “Smitty,” a film about a left-behind dog, coming to theaters in 2011. The contest is open to young people ages 8 to 12, and the deadline for entry is Nov. 15.
This contest is part of October’s Adopt-A-Dog Month, which highlights the need for people to visit local shelters and look into adopting homeless dogs. Click here for more entry details.
